What is TLC like?
I walk in through the doors and I see colorful posters hung up on the walls everywhere. Whiteboards are hung up in every classroom, pencil boxes are at every table. The noise of working students fills my ears. Everywhere I look I see the teachers preparing themselves to teach to their pupils, to make them understand, to help them succeed. In the hallway I see bookcases filled with books, books waiting to be read, knowing that their desire will soon be granted.
TLC is different from other schools. It is a program that was designed to make learning easier and more practical than other schools. When I started home school at TLC it was different at first, not something I was accustomed to, but the schools options and teachers' amiableness made me feel welcomed and comforted. What I really like about TLC is that the teachers want to make sure that you not only do the work, but that you understand it well too. If something is not really working for you they provide options for you to be able to accomplish. They take the time with students to explain and guide them step by step to help make school easier and less frustrating than it usually is.
The classes I am enrolled in at TLC are English and Yearbook Class. Out of both classes I would say that my favorite is English because I love to read, and that is one of the main things we do besides writing. There are three things that I personally would like to see implemented in TLC which are a P.E class, a water fountain for students, and options for on-site classes for each school subject.
